Mark your calendar! PTA’s annual Read4Richmond is February 3 – February 14!
The goal of Read4Richmond is simply encouraging students to have fun reading! It is managed through a dedicated website where your child can track their reading time, participate in reading challenges, earn badges, and easily request pledges from family and friends. ALL reading minutes count — audio books, independent reading, read alouds, etc!
This year, we hope to raise at least $10,000. This year, any funds raised will be used towards purchasing school playground equipment, in addition to other PTA initiatives.
This year, there is another fun school-wide incentive planned: If we reach the fundraising goal of $10,000, the entire school will participate in a fun-filled assembly — think OMSI, reptiles, or maybe even the Oregon Symphony! Specific details coming soon. In addition, the classroom(s) with the highest reading participation will get priority seating at the assembly, as well as special classroom hallway recognition!
Please note, you will need to register your child again this year even if they participated last year. Registration information will be provided in the upcoming days via teacher newsletters, Konstella/Facebook updates, and backpack flyers. Let’s get reading!
