April Showers bring May “All Staff and Teacher Appreciation week”!  Next Monday, May 2nd is the start of this special week. There are many great opportunities to shower our amazing teachers and awesome staff, so please join in the celebration!

Monday (5/2) – Coffee’s on Us, Today!

As a kick-off to the week, all Richmond teachers and staff receive their specialty coffee of choice, delivered to their classrooms and offices by PTA volunteers.  Many thanks to Marino’s on Division for supporting this effort.   Any and all volunteers who can help with delivering beverages are appreciated.  We need help from 8:05 am until the job is done, about 9 am.  If you can help please contact Sara DeLuca at [email protected].

Tuesday (5/3) – Mini Massages

Teachers and staff will enjoy complimentary 15 minute massages/energy work throughout the day.  Thank you to Richmond parent massage and energy workers who are volunteering their time and talent.

Wednesday (5/4) – Flowers

Every classroom will receive a beautiful bouquet of cut flowers.  Please bring flowers from your garden to include – they may be dropped off outside the cafeteria Wednesday morning, starting at 7:30am.  Volunteers are needed to help create bouquets and deliver them to classrooms.  Florists and those of you with an eye for creating beautiful arrangements, we need you!  We need help from 7:45 am until about 9am – any amount of time you can offer is appreciated. If you can help, simply show up on Wednesday morning – please bring cutting shears if you have them.

Thursday (5/5) – Potluck Lunch

Please share the specialty of your kitchen, as we honor our hardworking teachers and staff with a home cooked lunch.  Your favorites are their favorites, so be sure to include recipes!  There is a bulletin board located in front of the main office where you can sign up to bring in something yummy for our teacher/staff Potluck lunch.  Or email [email protected] to sign up remotely.

Friday (5/6) – Treasure Packages
Please have your child write a note, draw a picture, fold an origami, make a yummy treat – and drop it in the “treasure bag” hanging outside classrooms and offices. This is a wonderful opportunity to tell our teachers and staff how much we appreciate everything they do!   Room reps will be sending home “favorite surveys” next week so you know what the teachers and staff secretly long for.  Bags will be up all week next week, so let’s fill them up and teachers and staff can take their treasures home on Friday!
