Please join our first PTA general meeting next Wednesday night (9/23) at 6:30 p.m. Meet this year’s interns. Come learn more about what Richmond’s PTA and its various committees do. Our agenda aims to help both new and seasoned parents understand PTA’s key initiatives for the upcoming school year. Most importantly, we’ll vote on our 2015-16 budget.
You will be greeted by the Membership Team who will sign you up as a 2015-16 PTA member. Why join the Richmond PTA?
1. Connect with the people, activities and culture of Richmond. PTA intersects with almost all aspects of our school functions and direction. You meet great people and hear news first.
2. Have a voice in school decision making. You can vote on all PTA agenda items, including budget issues, directly affecting our school. No membership means no vote.
3. Send a message to PPS that our parent/teacher community is large, united, and strong. A robust PTA can work more effectively within the Portland Public School district.
4. PLUS…. All new members who sign up until the Harvest Festival (10/17) will be entered in a raffle with the chance of winning: 1 box of premium, delicious apples courtesy of Richmond’s apple sale; coupons to Salt’n’Straw Ice Cream; a Woodblock Chocolate sampler; or a Richmond Bulldog hooded sweatshirt.
