Thank you to everyone who turned out on a dark and rainy night to attend our mid-year General PTA Meeting! Despite a packed agenda, we were able to spend a good portion of our meeting time discussing a proposal to designate the spring 2017 Run for Richmond as a joint fundraiser with the Richmond Foundation to support staffing at Richmond next year.
The end result of this discussion was unanimous approval of a motion to designate Run for Richmond as a joint fundraiser and allocate $15,000 of the funds raised from the Run to the Richmond Foundation this year. Funds beyond the first $15,000 will be used to support arts, science and technology enrichment at Richmond.
The Richmond School Foundation plans to hold a spring fundraising drive as well, once staffing needs for the next school year are known.
