Monday (May 4th) is the start of the Richmond Teacher and Staff Appreciation week. There are many great opportunities to shower our amazing teachers and awesome staff throughout the week, so please join in the celebration!
Monday (May 4th) – Coffee Is On Us, Today!
As a kick-off to the week, all Richmond teachers and staff receive their specialty coffee of choice, delivered to their classrooms and offices by PTA volunteers. Many thanks to Marinos on Division for supporting this effort. Any and all volunteers who can help with delivering beverages are appreciated. We need help from 8:05 am until the job is done, about 9 a.m. If you can help, please contact Sara DeLuca at [email protected].
Tuesday (May 5th) – Mini Massages
Teachers and staff will enjoy complimentary 15 minute massages throughout the day. Thank you to Richmond parent massage therapists who are volunteering their time and talent.
Wednesday (May 6th) – Flowers
Every classroom will receive a beautiful bouquet of cut flowers. Please bring flowers from your garden to include. They may be dropped off outside the cafeteria Wednesday morning only, starting at 7:30am. Volunteers needed to help create bouquets and deliver them to classrooms. We need help from 7:45 am until about 9am – any amount of time you can offer is appreciated. If you can help, simply show up on Wednesday morning. Please bring cutting shears if you have them.
Thursday (May 7th) – Potluck Lunch
Please share the specialty of your kitchen, as we honor our hardworking teachers and staff with a home cooked lunch. Your favorites are their favorites, so be sure to include recipes! There is a bulletin board located in front of the main office where you can sign up to bring in something yummy for our teacher Potluck lunch.
Friday (May 8th) – Treasure Chests
Please have your child write a note, draw a picture, fold an origami, make a yummy treat and drop it in the “treasure bag” hanging outside classrooms and offices. This is a wonderful opportunity to tell our teachers how much we appreciate everything they do! Bags will be up all week, so let’s fill them up and teachers can take their treasures home on Friday!
