“Run for Richmond!” raises money for cultural & science enrichment and classroom technology. These dollars* are granted to the school by the PTA and are the primary source of enrichment and technology funding for the 2015-2016 academic year. This is a wonderful PTA event that directly involves all Richmond students in bringing excellence to their school.
- Grades PK-K-1 run from 9:15-9:45 am. Grades 2/3 run from 10:00-10:30 am. Grades 4/5 run from 1:00-:1:30 pm. Each lap is approximately 1/8 of a mile. Family and friends are welcome to watch and cheer on their runners from designated viewing areas.
- Sponsor sheets must be turned into your child’s classroom teacher by Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Please return BOTH copies of the sponsor sheet.
- Results will be sent home with runners the week following the event.
- Submit donations to the big red PTA mailbox located outside room 110, by Friday, May 1, 2015. Make checks payable to “Richmond PTA”. Please write the name and grade of the student sponsored in the memo section of the check. Sponsorship donations are 100% tax deductible, with your check as your receipt.
- We need lots of volunteers on the day of the event to tally laps and distribute popsicles. To volunteer please contact Jennifer Darling at [email protected]

An extra recess will be awarded to the CLASSES that raise the most money and run the most laps, in each session!
* 10% of Run for Richmond proceeds will be directed to the PTA General Fund.
