Why join Richmond’s PTA? A few of the many reasons are:
- Send a message to PPS that our parent/teacher community is large, united, and strong. A robust PTA can work more effectively within the Portland Public School district.
- Connect with the people, activities and culture of Richmond. PTA intersects with almost all aspects of our schools’ functions and direction. You meet great people and hear news first.
- Have a voice in school decision making. You can vote on all PTA agenda items, including budget issues, directly affecting our school. No membership means no vote.
Also, did you know that PTA memberships last 15 months? So if you have not yet signed up, doing so now means your membership lasts until November 2015.
The PTA membership team will be taking new membership forms next Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Book Fair (in the library). Membership is $15.00 annually and we accept cash, check and charge. We’d love to see you there.
Membership applications are also always available on top of PTA’s big red mailbox (outside Room 110 in the main hallway). You can drop your form and check or cash in the secure mailbox anytime.
If you have further questions, please contact Membership co-chairs Erin Estes ([email protected]) or Kate Day ([email protected])
