PTA Special Events Chairperson for the last 5 years. This means that we all have Andrea to thank for years of Ice Cream Socials, Welcome Teas, Harvest Festivals, Craft Nights, New Year’s Festivals and Spring Festivals.
Andrea has been a tireless Richmond volunteer since the time her oldest son, Mikio, enrolled at Richmond 6 years ago. With Mikio now in 5th grade, and her younger son Takumi in 1st, Andrea spends countless hours at school as mom, classroom volunteer and PTA Board member, in addition to her real world job outside of school.
In addition to her role as Special Events Chairperson, for many years and on multiple occasions Andrea has volunteered as a:
- Classroom Representative
- Japanese language translator
- Rich Coffee team member
- Movie Night popcorn scooper
- Run for Richmond popsicle passer
…and countless other activities that go unnoticed and unrecognized, but contribute significantly to making our school the very warm and welcoming place it is.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Andrea, for your tireless work, your cheerful attitude and your enthusiastic willingness to always make time to help. You are truly an inspiration and a Richmond treasure.
